Dr. Sidika Wambani

Worked at KNH for fourty two years,as a Chief Consultant and Head of Imaging and Radiology department for thirty six years. Honored for outstanding service at KNH (the only consultant who had stayed that long at the institution). She served and carried out research in Radiation Safely and protection of the young and adult clients which led to the development of Diagnostic Reference Levels (DRLs) in Pediatrics with many scientific publications in peer review journals in Medicine. She worked closely with the IAEA(. International Atomic Energy Agency)in Radiation safety and Radiation protection of the young client, Quality Control and Quality Assurance in diagnostic Radiology resulting into quality diagnostic images. She worked at Mater Misrecordea Hospital in Nairobi in a holding position of Chief Executive Officer where she helped transform the hospital management structure. She is the founder and chairperson of PanAfrican Congress of Radiology and Imaging(PACORI) for two concecutive terms,Chairperson of the Radiation Protection Board (RPB) of Kenya, Chairman of the African Association of Compitent Authorities, Chairperson of Kenya Medical Women’s Association ( KMWA). Currently she is the Director of Project/Services of Rotary Club of Muthaiga. QSidika
